SSCam Season 7 Predictions

Thanks to everyone who joined SSCam for this season. I just wanted to put a slight intro up here
to make sure everyone knows these predictions are done for fun. I just did my best to present
objective views on how I feel people are going to do. So don't take anything personally and feel free to surprise me. Hope you enjoy the read. I did the predictions for all the groups minus my own which was done by Matt.

Group A
blow_my_rod - This man is a clear, legit thinker. Clear, legit and clear. Does not use any performance enhancers such as 0.15 canabis or ecstacy. Rod has hardly any health concerns and that's pretty cool. This vegetable eater has some game, lots of experience in cam comps and has had past success in sscam. I'd expect him to make the playoffs once again.

dc_sacha - Sahsa is back! I haven't really seen the guy much in amu lately but he accepted my invitation to try to build on his previous season's first round playoff elimination. Anything can happen and Sacha is a quality shooter but this comp top to bottom has more quality than the previous season and this group is no exception. In the end I think rust will prevail and making the playoffs this season could be a stretch.

mindset_cue - Here's a guy that I see everywhere but I really know very little about his actual game. This competition will be a good place to show some skill and surprise some people in this tough group. From what I understand Tanz is an old school player and sometimes experience can trump all. Has a strong chance to take a couple sets but advancing out of the group stage will be tough.

nick_ownzz - His name says it all. One of the most skilled players in the competition with his victory in the finals of last season proving that. Nick is a solid runner and can flat out make shots to bail himself out of sticky situations. Consistent play should be the story of the game here. He'll definitely be challenged by Rod and Ryan but this is my pick for the group's winner.

nhanxx - I believe this is Nhan's second go around in sscam. This is definitely one that I will label as a learning experience. All of the sets in this group should be fairly challenging so I'm hoping you pick something up from these dudtes. Even grabbing one set win would be good here but he could push some of the top dogs into some tight sets. Playofs? Are you asking me about playoffs?!?! Not this time

pobody's nerfect - Ryan is a bonified noob. Mostly in the sense that he's new to the league and not at all in the sense that he's bad at pool. If you don't know him yet then you will by the end of the competition. Likes to run and he's fairly good at it. Should make the playoffs and could do a little damage in the competition.

Pecking Order - 1. Nick 2. Ryan 3. Rod 4. Tanz 5. Sacha 6. Nhan

Group B
im_rees - Rees is new to sscam.. by no means new to the lg though. He's been around for a while seems like he's making some strides playing lots of games against quality opponents. I recently tossed him into an mlp match only to have him rise to the occasion. Tough group but playoffs are a definite possibility.

Summer1998_1998 - Prakash is an old school ss player and has been around for at least a few years. Never seen him entered in a cam competition but he could pose a challenge to some of these players as he can put some decent runs together at times. He's not playing quite as much as I remember from before which makes him a long shot for sure.

xsoubanhx - Everyone knows Pita. Never really knew how good he was until he joined ss but now I've seen the magic up close. Pita can hit so many shots and can play any strategy out there. I've got him labelled as one of the early favourites in this competition. My best advice is to hope for him to get yahoo'ed and stuff...should cruise into playoffs. Trey and Tino could challenge his unblemished record.

Sweet_nicki - Nicki is a player that has improved significantly as the class of play in ss has risen of late. She has the ability to play different styles when she has patience. Will have to play slow and think through shots carefully to have any chance here. This will be a tough competition but there is a lot to be learned through tough sets. Could challenge for a couple wins but the playoffs are unlikely.

TlNO_NICA - Mr. Tino is back at it again gracing us with his presence for another round of sscam. Has been a fixture in the playoffs in just about every season so far. He's been around for a while folks so you won't be surprising him. If Tino can play under control throughout the group stage could challenge for first but I see him falling closer to the cut line. Expect tough games.

UN_NATURAL - Here's a wild card for sure. Trey has the ability to play games with anyone based on some pretty solid set wins in other cam comps. He's got the ability to play fast or slow while hitting good shots. Definite contender not just to qualify for the playffs but maybe even to last a few rounds.

Pecking Order - 1. Pita 2. Trey 3. Tino 4. Rees 5. Nicki 6. Prakash

Group C
black_stallion009 - Irfan is a guy who I'd only ever seen waxing ass in amu for the longest time. Not saying that's an easy feat but stepping up to the cam circuit is a great way to improve your strategic play. I anticipate recent sets with top players will help him out greatly in this competition and he'll be a playoff contender.

steven.rules - This guy is an admin in the competition. That in itself is good stuff. Steven has been playing for a long long time and has had great success playing in the lg with an eye popping win %. Steven will definitely be close to the cut line in this tough group but if he can get on a streak of good play his runs could take out anyone.

x_casual_x - I've been told he likes to go by Cas so I'll keep it that way until i'm told otherwise. Brand new member in the league, I don't know too much about him other than a couple games we played. Here's the scouting report...he definitely knows what he's doing out there. Will have a tough time to crack into the playoffs in this group but he could surprise people.

justhaveinfun08 - We have another first timer in sscam in Pat. Don't really know too much about Pat's play either. He has had some success in lg tourneys , nothing that really wowed me from our heads up matches. This is a good place to see how the game can be played on a higher level so hopefully you soak it in. As far as the prediction is concerned the playoffs are not in your future but winning a set or two would be a nice accomplishment.

ta.lent - See Matt. See Matt run. Run Matt run. I'm going to peg Matt as the favourite in this group despite his inability sometimes to slow down. If i was breaking out balls at the rate of an ass waxer I'd do the same. Matt can play safe when necessary which should be the difference here. Irfan or Jamie could challenge but I'm going to predict 5-0.

jalvlie - Last man standing in this here group. Jamie is a guy who I think has improved his game a lot lately. He's a balls to the walls runner which can sometimes work against him but he can flat out shoot so watch out. First time competing in sscam and the lack of set experience might show. If he plays the way he can then the playoffs are definitely within the realm of possibility.

Pecking Order - 1. Matt 2. Jamie 3. Irfan 4. Steven 5. Cas 6. Pat

Group D
king_hustler2008 - This guy used to wax mad asses back in the day but I don't really know how his recent form is as I haven't really seen him play at all since his "return". However, based on the fact that I know him more than the majority of the people up in this bitch I'm gonna have to assume he'll do pretty well and fight with Jon and Croz for the top spot in the group

gulvllvlie_l3ear - This guy is actually just starting to get onto the cam comp scene and I dunno how his results have been (well, I know and they've not been incredible) but compared to the bottom two people I'm definitely imagining he will fare better than they will and probably get the 4th spot in this group really easily unless he can't take care of business.

ll_00x00_ll - I literally have no idea who this dude is at all, don't think I've ever seen him in any comp or played him in league ever but I've heard he's kind of that ill guy skllswise so I'd imagine him to give everyone a run for their money...well not really.

crazy_cananuck - I've known Jon for mad long and back when I first met him I used to think he was garbage but actually of late I've had a change of heart and his UCC win clearly proved my new opinion right. I also must admit that I respect his honor for giving himself probably the hardest group in this entire pro-assed cam comp but I don't really see him having any trouble wading through this boner of a group and probably coming out on top.

cwf_86 - Once again, don't think I've literally ever seen this guy in any room ever, so based on that apparent lack of 24/7 playing i'm going to assume he doesn't have the skills to stand up to the likes of 24/7ers like Jon and Croz so, well done on joining bro but I don't see you performing incredibly well.

mvp_croz - A lot of people seem to think this dude is pretty ill but in all honesty I've always thought he was pretty much garbage. However, I'm definitely gonna have to put him in the top three here just because the other half of this group are not really contenders at all. So once again, gonna fight for seeding with Jon and King but I'd look for these three players to be off for this group

Pecking Order - 1. Jon 2. Croz 3. King 4. Corey 5. Rahul 6. Case

Group E
Top__Dawg__ - Good to see Sterlo in the cam comp. This format will be a pretty good test to see how he stacks up in sets. Pretty good shooter and has had tremendous success in lg tourneys. If you're a morning person then you know what I'm talking about. Will be a contender for top spot in this group.

ExpressQ - Shane is back in ss. That is definitely a good thing. I believe he played in some of the earlier seasons with limited success. I don't see him as a threat to win the whole thing by any means but this is one of the more wide open groups in the competition. I'll say from the trny games he's a better shooter so the playoffs are a possibility but top form will be required.

jda.291982 - Jason is back for another kick at the can. Last time he ... uhh.. the archives say he didn't even play a set. He's new to the format and i foresee some lumps being taken. Should be a good place to hopefully pick up on some new skills (pay attention to your opponents). I'd be thrilled if Jason could steal a set but it'll be challenging.

toyboy2die4u - Possibly the most rediculous ID in the competition. If you add him to yim it will display his name as Victor. DON'T BE FOOLED! This is Kazi. Kazi has been a staple of late on ss interlg teams(often times compared to rice) and has been getting lots of cam set action under his belt. All around player who can compete with anyone in the league. I have Kazi down as a lock to breeze with ease.

xxxBLONDIExxx - Shelle has come a long way with her game. Like a really really long way. Long over are the days of the easy win vs her. Shelle doesn't yet have a great ability to open up her own table but her english and shotmaking have improved to a point where she's able to make you pay for mistakes. Once again with this being a wide open group the playoffs are a possibility. I see her winning games but likely falling just short.

xl_sicc_skillz_lx - Thomas entered the lg with a full head of steam. He even seemed excited about the idea. Now I fear that this might be a wasted prediction. From the little that I know he's got some cam comp experience and has knocked off decent players. That will earn him a solid prediction but he'll need to get games in to be eligible. If he plays then he's a contender to move into the playoff bracket.

Pecking Order - 1. Kazi 2. Sterlo 3. Thomas 4. Shane 5. Shelle 6. Jason

Group F
TrueBoston - I'll get Brent out of the way early. Brent is a great player with all around skill best shown in his advancing all the way to the semi finals in 8brcam's Div A. Brent isn't the most active ss player and isn't really active period anymore. Might have a tough time getting in to be eligible but if he plays then he's a contender to win the whole thing.

x_sen.sual_x - Zoe is another player who is brand new in the league. All I really have to go by is the lg stats and they aren't exactly what I'd call impressive. Hopefully Zoe is going to take advantage of the opportunity to learn from some good players and maybe even surprise one or two for set wins.

tonzmaniac - Chris is back in sscam which is a good thing. I haven't really seen him in many cam comps but this will definitely not be his first rodeo. As a fixture on ss inter teams he's shown the ability to make clutch shots and that will come in handy in some pressure filled sets. Should be a playoff player.

binder.william - William at the last second has decided to remain in the competition. Good thing too because I've been noticing some nice strides in his game of late. We'll see how that stacks up in this competition and if he can get on a roll, finishing those runs consistently it could work out nicely. Will is planning to shock some people and that would be fun to watch but I've got him coming up short.

stonedpilot88 - Zack is my stoned pal. He smokes a lot of canabis, not quite sure if it helps his game very much. Possibly he is using more than the correct amount. I haven't seen Zack playing quite as much lately but he's always ready to compete and has a chance to knock some people off in these sets. A playoff appearance here wouldn't be too surprising.

jay_in_halfpants - Jay! Jay! .. wake up and play some sets. I don't think he'll have issue with that this time around. Most famous in sscam for not playing sets so it's hard to get a read on how he'll do in this format. Jay is always looking for ways to improve his game and it has really paid off over time. As long as he stays away from the big mistakes then he should be a playoff player.

Pecking Order - 1. Brent 2. Chris 3. Jay 4. Zack 5. Will 6. Zoe
